DESCRIPTION:We will be at the Next Generation Family Fair being held at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre\, Craven Arms in May.  At our stand will have a Great Item Giveaway featuring children’s toys and books amongst other things and provide some fun eco activities for children.  This year’s event is to highlight the importance of sustainable\, carbon-free living in order to safeguard the future of our children and the world they will live in. The fair will bring together local businesses and charities and provide a space where local families and young people can learn more whilst enjoying a great day out.  \n\n\n\nThe fair will host: local businesses focussed on sustainable living a range of charitable groups such as South Shropshire Climate Action\, Generation Zero Carbon\, Climate Action Hub Telford games and activities for children including a bouncy castle and climbing framefood and drink outletsa dog show

The Fast Fashion industry is responsible for a significant portion of global emissions with cheap garments travelling thousands of miles. These cheap garments all too often are worn once and discarded\, if they even get to customers in the first place. \n\n\n\nOne way to help is to swap or donate unwanted items of clothing. Our Swap and Giveaway event is designed to keep unwanted clothes out of landfill and get them back into use. \n\n\n\nCome along to our Clothes Swap and Giveaway where you will be able to swap or take any men’s\, women’s & children’s clothes and accessories. \n\n\n\nIf you choose to make a donation it will be shared between Climate Action Hub Telford and Cuan Wildlife Rescue who are kindly donating clothes from their charity shop in Shrewsbury for this event.

If you have any locally sourced tree seedlings in pots to donate to this event do let us know in advance or bring them along on the day.We will also be giving away used plant pots and scrap such as food containers/ toilet rolls etc which people can use to sow their seeds which they can get from Transition Telford’s seed swap happening at the same time. If you can donate any containers do bring them along on the day.
