Our event on Sustainable Travel: how to get around whilst leaving a low carbon footprint will feature:
11:30: short presentation on electric vehicles by a local expert with plenty of time for you to ask questions about this topic.
Information about sustainable travel including:
Websites for travelling by train in Europe introduced by our low-carbon travel champion, Fiona.
Activity exploring the carbon costs of different modes of transport when travelling from London to Glasgow.
Wellington Walkers will have an information stand for you to find out what activities they offer locally
The Bikes for Refugees project will be collecting bikes to give to people in need. So please check at home and bring along any unwanted bikes for this worthwhile cause, they will be much appreciated.
Wellington Cycle Delivery Service will be present from 12 midday: they offer free home delivery of your shopping in the Wellington area and beyond.
Shropshire Cycle Hub will be showing how they convert suitable peddle cycles into electric bikes using batteries used in power tools! A low cost alternative to expensive e-bikes.
Our Swap Corner will be open for donations and browsing including books, DVD’s, CD’s, household items, clothes, toys etc. Swap for free or take for a pay-as-you-can donation.
Free energy saving measures for your home: provided by Marches Energy Agency including LED lightbulbs, insulating tape, timers for appliances, humidity sensors, electric blankets, draught excluders.

- Recycling: including Terracycle (please see the Terracycle Telford Facebook page for details of what you can recycle), electronic gadgets, jewellery, stamps and coins.
- Old mobile phone collection point courtesy of local Coalport company Connected Mobiles.
- Eco Library: borrow books and magazines on Nature, climate and living life in a more sustainable way.
Free Refreshments: a delicious range of hot and cold food and drinks with lunch served from 12pm. Donations welcome.
