Join us for our free Sustainable Saturday event on the theme of Sustainable Christmas!
Event starts at 10.30am and runs until 2.30pm and includes the following festive activities:
- Christmas themed swap: toys, gift items, clothing, decorations and gift wrap to swap or take for a pay-as-you-can donation. Please bring unwanted gifts and Christmas items to swap.
- Christmas wreath workshop: have a go at making a festive wreath for your home. All materials provided. This workshop will be ongoing throughout the event. Please consider making a small donation to cover our costs.
- Christmas wrap and tags printing: print your own Christmas gift wrap and tags. This activity is suitable for adults or children. NB we will be using acrylic paints and inks which can stain clothing.
- Make your own Christmas decorations: have a go at making a paper snowflake type decoration. Suitable for older children or adults.
- Free energy saving measures – with support from Marches Energy Agency we will have the following devices for you to install in your home including LED lightbulbs, insulating tape, timers for appliances, humidity sensors, electric blankets, draught excluders.
- Leaflet stand advertising other organisations who are working on local climate and eco action
- Recycling: including Terracycle (please see the Terracycle Telford Facebook page or our website for details of what you can recycle), electronic gadgets, jewellery, stamps and coin.
- Old mobile phone collection point courtesy of local Coalport company Connected Mobiles.
- Eco Library: borrow books and magazines on Nature, climate and living life in a more sustainable way.
- Free Plant Based Refreshments including festive treats and lunch served from 12pm.
